This edition of the Holy Bible offers the biblical text in two languages: English and Portuguese. In the publication, the Nova Almeida Atualizada (NAA) and English Standard Version (ESV) translations were arranged in two columns, allowing the reader to compare the biblical text in both languages side by side. The English Standard Version (ESV) is one of the most renowned translations of the English language, based on the traditional King James Version (KJV). In a very similar way to what was done with the Almeida Revista e Atualizada (ARA) and which resulted in the New Almeida Atualizada (NAA), the text of the KJV was meticulously worked on, in light of the original languages, by specialists. The result is a literal biblical translation, which still maintains the classic standard of the KJV, but with a vocabulary that is more accessible to today's reader.
